Tokelau has no mint of its own and issues coins entirely as a licensing and revenue exercise — the territory generates no tax income and depends on external funding, making numismatic programs one of its few independent revenue streams. The New Zealand Mint produces these issues on its behalf.
The "Magnum Opus" branding is part of a recurring fine gold series from that mint, with the .9999 fineness positioning it against similar fractional bullion-collector hybrids from Perth and the RAM.
