| Obverse description | Central raised inner circle bearing the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs to the left and COOK ISLANDS to the right of the effigy. The denomination 10 DOLLARS appears below the portrait within the inner circle. Surrounding the central medallion is a broad annular field with a radial brushed finish, divided by twelve equally spaced sword hilts pointing inward, each held by the armored hands and torso of a knight rendered in high relief around the outer rim, evoking the twelve Knights of the Round Table. The silver content inscription 2 oz. Ag.999 is inscribed at the base of the design. |
