Obverse description The coin is struck in the outline shape of Poland. The obverse features a partially gilt panoramic cityscape of Rome — including the Tiber River, the Castel Sant'Angelo bridge, and the dome of St. Peter's Basilica — rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The upper left bears a small circular inset with the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a tiara. The entire composition is framed by an elaborate border of large gilt dog-rose (Rosa canina) blossoms and foliage in high relief. The denomination '10 DOLLARS' and date '2014' appear in the lower right field, with the issuer legend 'NIUE ISLAND' along the lower edge.
