Additional information

Barbados issued this coin as part of a regional push in the early 1990s to capitalize on collector demand for cricket-themed silver, a market the Caribbean mints aggressively courted following the West Indies team's dominance through the 1970s and 80s under Clive Lloyd and then Viv Richards. The "Belt Buckle" designation in the name refers to the coin's intended dual use — it was sold as part of a set that included a mounting fitting, allowing the coin to be worn.

KM#50 saw limited secondary market traction despite the novelty packaging.
