| Obverse description | The complete arms of Barbados displayed in the centre of the field, featuring a quartered shield supported by a dolphin to the left and a pelican to the right, surmounted by a helmet and mantling with crossed sugarcane stalks above, and a scroll below bearing the national motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. Two small torchiere emblems flank the arms in the lower field. The commemorative legend 1966-INDEPENDENCE-1976 arcs along the upper periphery, with BARBADOS inscribed along the lower periphery, all within a beaded border. |
