Reverse description At centre, a detailed engraving of the SS Gothic, the Royal New Zealand Ship that served as the Royal Yacht during the 1953 Commonwealth Tour, depicted underway at sea with smoke rising from her funnels. Above the ship, an oval cameo in the upper field portrays Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh facing each other in profile. The legend GOLDEN JUBILEE OF THE CORONATION arcs along the upper field, flanked by the commemorative dates 1953 and 2003 along the lower sides. The face value $10 and the Pobjoy Mint mark PM appear in the lower field, with the ship's name GOTHIC inscribed below the central design.
