Obverse description At centre, a vignette of the Altun Ha Maya temple dominates the face, with a right-facing crowned bust of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Kokoshnik Tiara occupying the right field. The Coat of Arms of Belize appears at lower right, while a vignette of a queen angelfish (Holacanthus ciliaris) occupies the upper left. The design is executed against a fine guilloche underprint across the full face.
