| Reverse description | Highly detailed architectural relief depicting the facade of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, rendered across the full square field of the coin. The design focuses on the upper nave and tower elements, showcasing the ornate Gothic decorative programme including clustered columns with elaborately carved capitals, pointed arch windows with tracery, and richly ornamented horizontal string courses featuring Gothic motifs. The intricate stonework is reproduced with exceptional sculptural depth, capturing the grandeur of the medieval cathedral's exterior in fine relief. This piece is the sixth in a series of fourteen dedicated to Notre-Dame de Paris. |

This is one piece in a fourteen-part series issued by Niue commemorating Notre-Dame de Paris. The series was released the same decade a catastrophic fire would gut the cathedral's spire and roof — the April 2019 blaze destroyed the 19th-century Viollet-le-Duc spire entirely and collapsed the vaulting beneath it, triggering a global fundraising response that exceeded one billion euros within days.
