| Reverse description | Proof finish reverse reproducing and enlarging the design of the 1927 Australian Canberra Florin, with selective gold gilding applied to the central elements. At the centre, a detailed frontal view of Old Parliament House, Canberra, is framed within an ornate gilt oval cartouche surmounted by a decorative shell motif. Below the cartouche, two gilt maces are displayed in saltire, flanking a lower gilt escutcheon bearing the date '1927' in relief. The encircling legend 'PARLIAMENT · HOUSE · AUSTRALIA' appears in the upper arc, and '· ONE · FLORIN ·' in the lower arc, all within a reeded border. The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark appears within the design field. |
