Comments

The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority replaced the Currency Board in 1997, and the C series issued under its authority marked the first notes to carry the new institution's name. Thomas De La Rue has printed Cayman currency continuously since the first series in 1971, an unusually long and unbroken relationship for a jurisdiction this small.

The two-signature format distinguishes this from otherwise identical single-signature printings within the same series — a bureaucratic change in authorized signatories rather than any monetary or design revision.
