Additional information

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank serves eight independent and dependent territories — Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, Anguilla, and Montserrat — yet gold issues from this authority remain genuinely uncommon, produced almost exclusively for collector markets rather than any circulating monetary need. The Brown Pelican holds particular resonance across several ECCB member states, appearing on the coat of arms of Saint Kitts and Nevis and embedded in the regional identity predating colonial cartography.

Applied colour on .9999 fine gold at this weight is an increasingly standard collector technique, though the ECCB has issued relatively few such pieces. KM#10.1 distinguishes this from related varieties in the series.
