Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing a tiara, pearl drop earring, and pearl necklace, as engraved by Ian Rank-Broadley. The effigy is rendered with fine detail in the hair and dress, occupying the central field. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left rim and COOK ISLANDS along the upper right rim, both in raised Latin capital letters. The denomination TEN DOLLARS appears in two lines at the base of the field, flanking the date 2003. The entire design is bordered by a continuous beaded inner rim.
