| Reverse description | Full-length frontal depiction of Bastet, the ancient Egyptian cat-headed goddess, portrayed as a slender female figure with a feline head bearing pointed ears, wearing an elaborate broad collar, decorative armlets and bracelets, and a pleated linen skirt with a jewelled belt. Her outstretched arms hold an ankh symbol in the left hand and an unidentified implement in the right hand. The background field is densely populated with incuse hieroglyphic inscriptions and cartouche-style panels arranged in vertical columns, evoking a temple wall relief. The design is framed by a serrated triangular border interspersed with rope-like beaded elements running around the inner circumference. The name BASTET appears in bold raised Latin letters along the lower exergue. |
