Reverse description Central depiction of Pukaki, the celebrated Maori ancestral figure (tiki), rendered in high relief as a frontal seated carving with elaborate surface koru and spiral ornamentation, the figure holding two smaller figures in its arms. Decorative Maori kowhaiwhai scroll motifs frame the composition symmetrically to the left and right within the field. The denomination '$10' is inscribed in the lower field beneath the figure.
