Additional information

Australia's silver Koala series launched in 1998, but the 2010 issue holds a specific distinction within it: the design changes annually, meaning no two years share an identical reverse, a deliberate policy by the Perth Mint to drive collector demand and discourage melting. The 10-dollar denomination corresponds to the 10 troy ounce format, one of the largest standard bullion sizes the Perth Mint produced in this series.

The fourth portrait of Elizabeth II, by Ian Rank-Broadley, was introduced across Commonwealth coinage from 1998 onward — a version notably more austere than Raphael Maklouf's third portrait it replaced.
