Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in Ian Rank-Broadley's fourth definitive portrait. The Queen's truncation bears the engraver's initials IRB. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II to the upper left and AUSTRALIA to the upper right, separated by a beaded border that frames the entire design. The denomination 10 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower rim within the border, flanked by two circular stops. The field is polished to a mirror finish, providing strong contrast against the finely detailed relief of the effigy.
