| Reverse description | The reverse presents a multi-layered commemorative design celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Australian Kangaroo bullion series. At centre, a large circular cameo depicts a kangaroo in motion amidst detailed sprigs of wattle (Acacia), rendered in polished silver relief against a frosted field. The surrounding gold-plated field features additional kangaroos in bounding poses alongside elaborately detailed wattle blossoms and foliage rendered with selective gold plating. The fineness inscription 5 oz .999 Ag appears in the mid-right field. The legend KANGAROO arcs along the upper border of the hammered outer ring, while 25TH ANNIVERSARY is inscribed along the lower arc. |

| Additional information |
The Australian Kangaroo silver bullion series launched in 1993, making this 2018 release exactly a quarter-century in. The Royal Australian Mint used the anniversary to introduce selective gold plating on the kangaroo itself — a finishing technique the RAM had deployed on earlier commemoratives but not previously on this series. At 155.535 grams, the coin sits in the five-troy-ounce format that has anchored the program's premium collector tier since the early 2000s.
The 1993 inaugural issue had a mintage of just 15,000 — modest by bullion standards — before the series found its footing internationally.
