Reverse description A large, highly detailed portrait bust of a Palm Cockatoo (Probosciger aterrimus) facing right, occupying the majority of the reverse field, with the bird's distinctive elongated crest feathers fanning upward and to the left. The powerful hooked beak and characteristic bare facial patch are rendered with exceptional sculptural precision by engraver Horst Hahne. The denomination 10 DOLLARS is inscribed vertically along the right side of the field. The engraver's initials HH appear at lower right near the rim. The deeply mirrored proof surfaces enhance the dramatic contrast of the frosted avian portrait against the polished background.
