| Obverse description | The central field features the full coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia, depicting a sailing ship approaching shore, a palm tree, a dove in flight, and a rising sun, all enclosed within a shield supported by crossed implements below. A ribbon above the shield bears the national motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE, and a further legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA appears on a scroll below the arms.
