| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Barbados occupies the central field, featuring a shield charged with two pride-of-barbados flowering trees, supported on the dexter side by a dolphin and on the sinister side by a pelican. Above the shield rises a crest depicting a hand grasping two crossed sugarcane stalks beneath a Bajan bearded fig tree, while below appears the national motto on a scrolled ribbon reading PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The country name BARBADOS arcs along the upper periphery in bold raised lettering, with the denomination 10 DOLLARS inscribed along the lower rim. The fineness and weight indicators 10 oz and Ag 999 appear in the lower field flanking the motto ribbon, all rendered in antique finish against a subtly brushed background. |

At center, the Liberty Bell is rendered in raised relief encircled by a laurel wreath and the inscription LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS, surrounded by a scene depicting the Founding Fathers gathered at the signing of the Declaration of Independence, with Independence Hall visible in the background at right and the Declaration document inscribed IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776, Declaration of the thirteen united States of America arching across the upper portion of the field.
