The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left periphery, with 10 DOLLARS inscribed across the upper field and COOK ISLANDS along the right periphery. The date 2023 appears in the lower field, serving as a posthumous tribute to Her Majesty.

Reverse description Highly detailed three-quarter facing bust depicting 'The Vexed Man,' a celebrated alabaster character head created by the 18th-century German sculptor Franz Xaver Messerschmidt (1736–1783), rendered with exceptional sculptural fidelity in high relief against a frosted field. The subject's intensely contorted facial expression — furrowed brow, grimacing mouth, and deeply set features — is faithfully reproduced, capturing Messerschmidt's psychologically expressive style. The engraver's signature F. X. MESSERSCHMIDT is inscribed in the lower field.
