Additional information

At 0.311 g, this is a fractional issue riding the five-nines purity format that the Royal Canadian Mint pioneered and that numerous sovereign mints have since licensed or imitated for bullion programs. Solomon Islands has no domestic gold refining capacity and functions here purely as a licensing jurisdiction — the coins are not produced in Honiara.
