Reverse description The reverse occupies the full trapezoidal surface of the triangular coin and bears a vivid full-color reproduction of a section of the fresco painted on the interior of Brunelleschi's dome of the Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore), executed by Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari. The composition depicts a multitude of figures arranged across celestial registers, rendered in warm ochres, golds, and earth tones consistent with the Last Judgment iconography of the cupola fresco. The color application covers the entire reverse field, giving the piece the character of a painted relief. A partially legible artist's signature or inscription appears in the lower right area of the design. This coin is the third in a nine-part series, each segment forming part of the complete panoramic interior view of the dome.
