Liberia's early 2000s wildlife coinage was produced almost entirely for the collector export market — the country had no meaningful domestic numismatic retail infrastructure and these pieces never circulated. Most were struck by outside minting contractors, with the Pobjoy Mint among those handling Liberian-licensed issues during this period.
