Obverse description The rhombus-shaped field features Gothic architectural elements in high relief, including ribbed vaulting and ornate Corinthian-style column capitals flanking a central arched window niche. Within the niche, a colorized insert depicts a medieval stained glass figure of a robed saint rendered in rich polychrome tones. To the lower left, the denomination '10 DOLLARS' is incused in the field, while the Coat of Arms of Palau appears in an ornamental cartouche to the right, accompanied by the legend 'REPUBLIC OF PALAU' and 'RAINBOW'S END'. The date '2012' is inscribed at the lower point of the rhombus.

Reverse description The rhombus-shaped reverse presents a detailed relief depiction of Augsburg Cathedral (Dom zu Augsburg), showing the Romanesque and Gothic exterior of the cathedral complex with its twin towers and nave rendered across the lower field against a textured sky. At the center, a tall arched window niche contains a colorized insert replicating one of the famous Romanesque stained glass prophet windows of the cathedral, depicting a standing robed figure holding a scroll. The legend 'AUGSBURG CATHEDRAL' curves along the upper edge of the coin in Gothic-style lettering, and a decorative lion's-head door knocker motif appears at the lower point of the rhombus.
