Obverse description The Singapore coat of arms is displayed centrally in the field, with a downward-curving ribbon below the shield. The date of issue, 1992, appears beneath the coat of arms in the exergue. The circumferential legend presents the name 'Singapore' in the country's four official languages — Malay (SINGAPURA), Tamil (சிங்கப்பூர்), Chinese (新加坡), and English (SINGAPORE) — arranged along the border. The Singapore Mint monogram (SM) mintmark is positioned between the Chinese and English inscriptions at approximately the five o'clock position.
