Obverse description The right half of the obverse is dominated by an intaglio vignette of the Chiremba Balancing Rocks of Matopos National Park, rendered in deep red against a fine guilloche underprint that fills the entire face. To the lower left, a sable antelope is engraved in dark intaglio, while the denomination panel at centre carries the promise-to-pay clause above the large intaglio legend TEN DOLLARS. The issuer's title RESERVE BANK OF ZIMBABWE runs along the top border, with the denomination numeral $10 repeated in a cartouche at upper right and at lower left.

A multicoloured guilloche underprint in red, green, and blue covers the field, with a further rosette medallion at upper left bearing the numeral 10. Denomination numerals 10 appear at lower left and lower right within the wavy-border surround.
