| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Liberia occupies the central field, depicting a three-masted sailing ship on the sea, a palm tree to the right, a rising sun on the horizon, and a plough and spade in the foreground, all enclosed within an ornate shield surmounted by a dove in flight. A scroll below the shield bears the motto legend THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE in a curved arrangement around the upper portion of the arms. The outer legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA arcs along the top rim, with the denomination 10 DOLLARS positioned along the lower rim, and the date 2006 divided on either side of the central device. |
