Obverse description The obverse is printed in black on white paper with red serial numbers, centred around an intaglio portrait vignette of a distinguished elderly gentleman in formal attire, set within an ornate oval frame. To the left, bilingual text reads 'PAIERA DIX DOLLARS AU PORTEUR A DEMANDE' and to the right 'WILL PAY TEN DOLLARS TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND', flanked by large guilloche numeral '10' counters at each corner. The lower portion carries the date 'MONTREAL, LE 2 JANV. 1935' in both French and English, above the bank title 'THE PROVINCIAL BANK OF CANADA' with two manuscript signature lines for President and Deputy General Manager.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in green, with a central intaglio vignette of the bank's imposing neoclassical stone building facade, flanked on each side by large ornate guilloche panels bearing the numeral '10' in elaborate lathe-work rosettes. Repeating numeral chains '10 10 10 10' form decorative borders along the top and both vertical margins, while the bank's bilingual title appears at the top and the English title 'THE PROVINCIAL BANK OF CANADA' at the bottom. The words 'DIX' and 'TEN' appear at the lower corners, with 'DIX DOLLARS' and 'TEN DOLLARS' running vertically along the outer edges.
