Obverse description Green-tinted note with the inscription DOMINION OF CANADA at the top and THE BANK OF OTTAWA in bold lettering across the upper centre, flanked by numeral 10 counters at each corner within ornate guilloche panels. A central vignette depicts a rural pastoral scene with cattle and figures in an intaglio engraved landscape, set between the promise text WILL PAY TO BEARER ON DEMAND. The date Ottawa, Sep. 1st 1913 appears below the vignette, with TEN DOLLARS in a banner at the base and two manuscript signatures — that of the Cashier and the President — across the lower portion.
