| Obverse description | Central field features a six-pointed star enclosing a circular cartouche bearing Arabic legends and the AH date 1320. Arabic inscriptions occupy the spaces between each of the six points of the star, arranged symmetrically around the central device. The overall design is geometric and calligraphic in character, consistent with Moroccan Sharifian numismatic convention of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. |
