Obverse description The quartered coat of arms of Andorra occupies the central field, rendered in fine relief within an elaborate rococo-style scrollwork cartouche. The shield displays the four traditional quarters: the mitre and crozier of the Bishop of Urgell, the vertical stripes of the Count of Foix, the horizontal bars of Catalonia, and the three cattle of Bearn. The motto VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR is inscribed on a ribbon at the base of the arms. The legend PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 D. appears prominently in the lower field with the date 2003 below.
