Reverse description A gilt effigy of Pope John Paul II is depicted in a three-quarter facing bust, wearing a pontifical mitre adorned with decorative relief including an eagle motif, and vestments bearing a small cross. He holds a crucifix pastoral staff (ferula) in his right hand, rising diagonally across the composition. The entire figural design is selectively gold-plated against a mirror-polished field, creating a strong visual contrast. The inscription JOAN PAU II curves along the right side of the field in incuse lettering.
