Obverse description The quartered coat of arms of Andorra occupies the central field, rendered in high relief within an ornate baroque cartouche. The shield displays the traditional four quarters: the mitre and crozier of the Bishop of Urgell, the vertical pales of the Count of Foix, the bars of the Crown of Aragon, and the two cows of the Viscounts of Béarn. A scroll below the shield bears the national motto VIRTUS VNITA FORTIOR. The circular legend PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA runs along the upper rim, with the denomination 10 D. and the date 2005 positioned in the lower field.
