| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a majestic enthroned effigy of Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II, crowned and robed in imperial regalia, holding an orb surmounted by a cross in his right hand while a falcon perches on a stand to his left. The figure is rendered in a Romanesque sculptural style, seated frontally on an ornate throne. Fourteen stars are arranged in a ring around the periphery of the field, referencing the European motif. The denomination '10 D.' appears to the upper left of the enthroned figure, and the inscription 'FREDERIC II' is engraved along the lower exergue. |
