Additional information

Andorra has no mint of its own; its commemorative coinage is produced under contract, typically in Spain or elsewhere in Europe. This piece honors Chopin on the 200th anniversary of his birth, part of a broader wave of 2009 bicentennial issues that flooded the commemorative market across multiple issuing authorities. The "Paris" subtitle references the city where Chopin spent the bulk of his productive life after fleeing Russian-controlled Poland in 1830 — he never returned.
