Oberthur printed this note at their Rennes facility, continuing a long relationship between the Banque Centrale de Tunisie and the French security printing industry that dates to independence in 1958. Tunisia has rarely strayed from French printers — Oberthur and its predecessors have produced the bulk of Tunisian currency through multiple series.

Pick 90 belongs to the 2005 series that replaced the earlier 1994 generation, partly driven by pressure to upgrade security features across the circulating stock. The security thread specification on this denomination is a straightforward metallic windowed type, modest by the standards of contemporary central bank issues.
