Obverse description The Tunisian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing scales of justice and a rampant lion, surmounted by a sailing ship and flanked by decorative scrollwork. Above the shield, the national emblem of a crescent and star appears in relief. The Arabic legend of the Republic name curves along the upper periphery, with ornamental rosette devices flanking the lower field. The denomination '10 دنانير' (10 Dinars) is inscribed in large characters at the base of the coin.
