Konfekcija VIS was a Yugoslav clothing manufacturer based in Varaždin, Croatia. This note is a form of vaučer — a factory-issued scrip used internally by Yugoslav enterprises during periods when the national banking system was slow or unable to supply adequate small change. Such instruments circulated within the issuing firm's canteen, shop, or wage system, legally occupying a grey zone that the Yugoslav socialist economy tolerated without fully regulating.
The single signature, Milica Čengić, most likely identifies a company treasurer or financial officer rather than a banking authority. Factory scrip of this kind was produced in small quantities and rarely preserved — workers spent it, not collected it.
