Obverse description An Austro-Hungarian Bank 10 Korona note dated 2 January 1915, overprinted with a circular Romanian administrative stamp in dark ink at upper left bearing the legend ROMANIA TIMBRU SPECIAL, authorising its use in the newly administered territories of Transilvania and Banat. The right field carries an intaglio vignette of a young woman in three-quarter profile set against a fine guilloche underprint, with the denomination TIZ KORONA inscribed in a central panel in Hungarian text. The issuing authority OSZTRAK MAGYAR BANK appears at the base, the whole framed by ornamental borders.

Reverse description The reverse of the underlying Austro-Hungarian Bank 10 Kronen note is printed in blue-grey tones, with a central intaglio vignette of a young boy set within an oval frame against a finely engraved guilloche ground. The legend ZEHN KRONEN dominates the upper register, beneath which the full institutional title OESTERREICHISCH-UNGARISCHE BANK and the date and place of issue are inscribed, accompanied by two facsimile signatures for the Gouverneur and Generalsekretär. A decorative right-hand panel carries the denomination rendered in eight languages, with the serial and plate numbers at lower right.
