| Reverse description | A highly stylised Olive Ridley sea turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea), known locally as the Paslama, is depicted in aerial view at the centre of the field, its carapace rendered with ornate filigree-style scrollwork and geometric patterning in high relief. The turtle's four flippers are fully extended symmetrically, with the head pointing upward. A circular incuse ring frames the central design, separating it from the surrounding legend. The mintmark or privy mark of the issuing facility appears to the upper right of the turtle within the inner field. The legend TORTUGA PASLAMA arcs along the upper periphery, while 10 CÓRDOBAS is inscribed at the base; 1 ONZA appears on the left and PLATA PURA on the right within the outer border. |
