Obverse description Central field dominated by a large, elegantly engraved royal cipher 'W' for King Willem I, the date 1822 flanking the monogram with '18' to the left and '22' to the right. The cipher is surmounted by a detailed royal crown with cross finial, arches, and jewelled band rendered in fine relief. The whole design is contained within a beaded inner border, with no surrounding legend.
