| Obverse description | Central device consisting of a decorative bouquet of rice stalks and wheat ears tied at the base with a flowing ribbon, rendered in high relief against a lightly striated field. The composition evokes the agricultural wealth of French Indochina, with naturalistic detailing on each grain head and leaf.
