Obverse description Right-facing effigy of King George V, bare-headed and robed, as reproduced from the MacKennal portrait used on Canadian coinage in 1911. The king is depicted in military dress with a draped collar, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The surrounding legend reads 'GEORGIVS V REX ET IND:IMP:' in raised Latin lettering, divided across the upper and lower periphery. The portrait is faithful to the original MacKennal design, conveying a formal and regal character consistent with Edwardian numismatic tradition.
