Obverse description Left-facing crowned and draped bust of King George V, wearing the Imperial State Crown and robes of state with ermine collar, modelled by Sir Edgar Bertram MacKennal. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the crown and drapery. The circular legend around the periphery reads GEORGE V KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA, with beaded border.

Reverse description Large numeral '10' displayed prominently at centre within a beaded inner circle, with horizontal line shading filling the numeral. The legend STRAITS SETTLEMENTS arcs across the upper field outside the beaded circle, while TEN CENTS and the date appear along the lower arc, separated by a dot on each side. The entire design is framed by a milled border.
