| Reverse description | The celebrated Nova Scotian fishing and racing schooner Bluenose is depicted under full sail on the open sea, based on the iconic design by Emanuel Hahn that has appeared on the Canadian dime since 1937. The vessel is shown in three-quarter view with sails billowing, rendered with fine engraved detail in the rigging and hull. The denomination 10 CENTS arcs along the lower periphery, while CANADA curves along the upper field. The date appears within the design field, and the mint mark H or W may be present depending on the issuing facility. |
