Obverse description Right-facing crowned and draped effigy of King Edward VII, wearing the Imperial State Crown and robes of state with elaborate floral and foliate decoration visible at the truncation. The legend EDWARD VII KING & EMPEROR arcs around the periphery, with the engraver's initials DES appearing at the lower truncation. A fine beaded border frames the design.
