Reverse description The denomination 10 CENTS is inscribed in two lines across the center of the field, enclosed within a decorative scrollwork cartouche of interlaced foliate ornaments at the base, with the date below. The issuer's name NEWFOUNDLAND arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by raised dots at either side, and the Heaton Mint mark H appears within the lower cartouche scroll. The entire design is set within a prominent toothed outer border.
