| Reverse description | The reverse features the iconic left-facing depiction of the Bluenose, the celebrated Canadian racing and fishing schooner, under full sail across calm waters, as originally designed by engraver Emanuel Hahn. The vessel's three masts, rigging, and billowing sails are rendered in fine relief, conveying a sense of motion and maritime heritage. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 CENTS appears in the lower exergue. The date is inscribed to the right of the schooner's hull, and a small engraver's initial H is present near the lower left of the design. The entire device is framed by a beaded border. |
