Obverse description Central vignette shows the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanking, rendered in green letterpress with a broad staircase leading to the memorial hall set against a plain sky. Chinese characters 壹角 (one jiao) appear in ornamental cartouches at left and right, with the bank name 中央储备银行 across the upper portion. Two red chop marks appear in the lower centre, and small numerals 5 are printed in the upper corners.

Reverse description Entirely engraved in green on a white ground, the reverse is dominated by an intricate guilloche framework with large numeral 10 at centre within a circular rosette, flanked by the legend TEN CENTS repeated to left and right. The bank title THE CENTRAL RESERVE BANK OF CHINA is set in a rectangular panel at the top, while corner pieces carry the numeral 10. Two facsimile signature panels appear at lower centre, one for the Governor and one for the Vice Governor.
